OVER $2200.00 RAISED FOR THE ALZHEIMER SOCIETY OF MANITOBA!

When planning an event like this, there are bound to be ups and downs, strikes and gutters.  But in the end, what's important is getting a good crowd and hoping that most of that crowd, including us, has fun.  Well, at about 300 attendees, we had a great crowd!  Over $2200.00 was raised and is being donated to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba!  Yes, we once again started the film a little late, but life goes on man...you can't be worrying about s**t like that.  Still, we'd like to hear from you about what you thought of our event.  Email us at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it whenever you have a spare moment.  And thanks again to everybody that came out to make this event a great success!

THE DUDE GETS HIS DUE!

At long last the gentleman that played our favourite slacker has earned his first Oscar!  And apparently invoked The Dude backstage.  Check out the MSN article by clicking right here

LEBOWSKIPALOOZA
SATURDAY MARCH 6, 2010!

Canada's BIGGEST Lebowski charity event will take place on Saturday, March 6th, 2010.  Doors will open at 6:00.  It will be held at the Garrick Theatre at 330 Garry Street in downtown Winnipeg.  Of course Caucasians and oat sodas will be served.  More than simply a showing of the greatest cult film ever made, this event will feature the Lebowski Olympic Games, featurettes, and prizes galore, including prizes for best costume.  So drag out your best Big Lebowski garp (or don't, we don't care.  It don't matter to Jesus), brush up on your quotes and get ready for one of Winnipeg's winter highlights! Net proceeds will be donated to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba.

We Couldn't Have Done it Without You

As we get further and further along in the development of Canada's Biggest Lebowski Event, we're finding more and more great organizations have been stepping up and willing to contribute to making LebowskiPalooza an event to remember. So far we want to thank Movie Village, Raggedy Bastard Studios, Awkward Pictures, K-Man Productions, Exclaim! Magazine, UMFM, Adam Bertocci and The Indiana University Press for all of their contributions to this event.  Check out their websites by clicking on the sponsor links, just up and to the left.  That's it...that's them.

Lebowski Games 2010

With the Olympic Games wrapping up just prior to LebowskiPalooza 2010, we were a little concerned that some of you might be going through withdrawal.  Part of the whole bigger-and-better philosophy of the this year's event, there will be numerous games for Achievers to take part in.  Trivia is back, with a new and improved format.  Come early and try your hand at the ringer toss and stonewalling competitions.  Or just cheer on your favourite contestant.
